Component Repair & Reliability Engineer

Description:

Volotea is the newest and fastest-growing low-cost airline in Europe, focused on connecting medium and small-sized European cities. We are looking for a Component Repair & Reliability Engineer, who is used to interact in different cultural environments, and who wants to work in a challenging high-growth environment.

The work place is in our Engineering office in Barcelona with regular travel to Palma de Mallorca.

Profile:

- Master Degree Aircraft Engineering or equivalent.

- 3 years’ experience working as a Component Repair or Systems Engineer.

- Experienced in working with component repair shops.

- High level of cost consciousness.

- High level of creativity, technical understanding and ability to think “outside the box” to establish cost effective repair methods.

- Experienced in working with AIRBUS & BOEING manuals and OEM CMM.

- Fluent in English is essential, fluent in Spanish desirable.

- Good knowledge of EASA regulations.

- Methodical, analytical minded and service-oriented.

- Attentive to details without losing sight of the whole picture of an airline operation.

Capabilities:

- Control and evaluate technical aspects of the component repair cycle.

- Continuous cooperation with the Logistics Component Repair team to identify the most cost efficient repair solutions and to provide support and guidance.

- Review and analysis of shop reports.

- Continuous analysis of component failures to identify root cause and trends in cooperation with MCC, Engineering and Maintenance Providers and Repair shops.

- Cooperation with repair shops and OEMs to identify alternative, more cost efficient repair solutions.

- Define repair levels.

- Ensure the compliance of component repairs in accordance with the approved maintenance program.

- Evaluation of component related AD, SB, repairs and non-mandatory modifications to improve component reliability and reduce maintenance cost.

- Propose component modifications by implementation of SL, SB.

- Issuance of engineering orders and engineering bulletins.

- Ensure that the applied modifications or repairs have been approved in accordance with Annex (Part 21) to Regulation (EC) No 1702/2003.

- Provide component related input to the Reliability Program.

Facilities and travel responsible

He/she will also be responsible of the travel department, dealing with the travel suppliers, track the expenses generated and look for cost saving initiatives.

We are looking for a proactive, passionate, very responsible and rigorous person, with experience in office management and who wants to learn and develop him/herself in a challenging high-growth environment.

Profile:

- 2-3 years of work experience in office or travel department (experience in similar position or in airline industry will be valuated). 

- Dynamic & proactive.

- Organized and rigorous.

- Used to work in different cultural environments.

- High analytical skills

- Good command of commonly reporting and analysis tools (Excel, PowerPoint, BI, etc.)

- Advanced English and Spanish. A good level of Italian or French would be highly valuated. 

Capabilities:

- Coordinate and supervise the tasks scheduled in the office (cleaning, maintenance, fruit services..)

- Ensure the good status of the facilities and take action in case of any issue.

- Supervise the reception and travel service to keep staff motivated and ensure a great service to the visitors.

- Deal with the different suppliers, negotiate new contracts and renewals and optimize costs.

- Manage to keep the costs under control and take actions to mitigate/fix budget deviations.

Customer Experience & Quality Director

Description:

- Manage a set of suppliers (including the contact center), negotiate contract renewals, optimizing costs…

Revenue Analyst

Description:

Profile:

Reporting directly to the Revenue Manager his/her main mission will be to optimize revenue of an allocated portfolio of routes developing the following functions:

- Manage inventory by controlling seat allocation and price levels.

- Monitor flight Booking Patterns and Trends

- Analyze the performance of flights through historical data.

- Conduct Market and Competitor Reviews

- Daily Reporting of the evolution of routes in charge.

- Monitor and act to reduce any deviations encountered.

- Quote prices for the Groups Department.
