IS THERE ANYTHING MORE ROMANTIC THAN LOSING YOURSELF IN HAMBURG?

Hamburg is a port city in the north of Germany, and the second largest port in Europe. With a population of over 1.8 million inhabitants, Hamburg is Germany’s second largest city and one of the country’s richest.

Hamburg is famous for its dense network of canals, its historic port, its music culture and its vibrant nightlife.

If you’re planning a trip to Hamburg, there are various sights that you just have to visit. The Speicherstadt, the warehouse district, is an absolute must. This is Hamburg’s old warehouse district, built at the end of the 19th century, and now transformed into a popular pedestrianised area with lots of cafés, restaurants, shops and museums, now housed in the former warehouses.

The Port of Hamburg is part of the city’s DNA and is well worth a visit, for a boat trip, a stroll along the riverbank, a visit to the International Maritime Museum or for enjoying an excellent fish dinner.

Music lovers can’t afford to miss out on the Elbphilharmonie. This futuristic concert hall, on the banks of the River Elba and opened in 2017, is one of the world’s largest and acoustically advanced concert venues. The building also houses a luxury hotel and a spacious terrace with great views.

Hamburg’s nightlife is legendary, and for a first taste of it, why not start in the St. Pauli district, where you’ll find bars for all tastes, restaurants, clubs and late-night venues. Keen shoppers, meanwhile, will find more than enough to please them on the elegant Alsterarkaden, where the city’s most exclusive shops can be found.

The district of Blankenese is pretty and relaxing. This old fishing village on the outskirts of the city stands right on the Elba and is perfect for a stroll through the charming streets and wonderful gardens, offering beautiful views of the river.

Generally speaking, Hamburg is a cosmopolitan city with many options available to its visitors. From cultural activities, such as its museums and theatres, to shopping opportunities and nightlife, there’s something for everyone here.
