COVID-19 TRAVEL REGULATIONS YOU NEED TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION.

  • Test requirements

    Passengers travelling to Croatia from Brazil, South Africa, or Tanzania (Zanzibar only) must hold a negative Covid-19 PCR test result from an authorised laboratory obtained within 48 hours prior to arrival.

    Passengers travelling to Croatia from countries other than Brazil, South Africa or Zanzibar in Tanzania may either hold a negative Covid-19 PCR test or Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) result obtained within 48 hours prior to arrival in Croatia, or evidence of a complete course of the Covid-19 vaccine obtained at least 14 days prior to arrival, or a positive PCR or RAT test confirming that the passenger recovered from Covid-19 obtained between 180 and 11 days prior to arrival, or a certificate of recovery issued by a physician. If they provided a negative RAT and their stay is 10 days or longer, a second negative test must be presented 10 days after the first test. Passengers not holding any of these will be subject to a PCR test or RAT on arrival at their own cost. These passengers will also be required to quarantine until a negative test result is received. If this testing cannot be performed, they must quarantine for 10 days.

    • This does not apply to passengers travelling from Australia, Brazil, China, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Hong Kong, Israel, Korea (South), Macau, Norway (Møre og Romsdal, Trøndelag) Rwanda, Singapore, South Africa, Tanzania (Zanzibar) or Thailand.
    • This also does not apply to the following passengers travelling from a European Union or Schengen Area member state:
        • persons travelling for necessary family or business reasons, including journalists in the performance of their duties;
        • passengers in transit, provided they leave Croatia within 12 hours of entry;
        • workers or self-employed persons performing essential tasks, including healthcare workers; frontier and posted workers and seasonal workers, provided they do not stay in, or outside, Croatia for longer than 12 hours;
        • pupils, students, or interns who travel abroad every day;
        • seamen, transport workers or transport service providers;
        • diplomats, staff of international organizations and persons;
        • military personnel and police officers, and humanitarian and civil protection personnel in the performance of their duties;
        • children under 7, provided their parents meet the above requirements for testing or vaccination;
        • patients travelling for urgent health reasons.
    • This also does not apply to the following EU and Schengen Area citizens and residents and their family members travelling from third countries:
        • healthcare workers, health researchers and caregivers for the elderly;
        • passengers in transit, provided they leave Croatia within 12 hours of entry;
        • frontier workers as well as athletes as stated in the exceptions for passengers within the EU and EEA;
        • workers in the transport sector;
        • diplomats, staff of international organizations and persons;
        • military personnel and police officers, and humanitarian and civil protection personnel in the performance of their duties;
        • passengers travelling for study purposes;
        • children under 7, provided their parents meet the above requirements for testing or vaccination;
        • passengers travelling for necessary personal and family or business reasons or some other economic reason and do not stay in or out of Croatia longer than 12 hours.

    Passengers holding a Rapid Antigen Test issued abroad, must ensure the manufacturer or the commercial name of the test must be visible and the test must be issued by a health institution and signed or confirmed by a doctor.

    If the passenger is holding a positive PCR or RAT test confirming that the passenger recovered from Covid-19 in the past 180 days or has been vaccinated with at least one dose of a vaccine, they are not required to present a negative PCR or RAT test until 6 months after their vaccination.

    Passengers travelling to Croatia from Brazil, South Africa, or Tanzania (Zanzibar only) must hold a negative Covid-19 PCR test result from an authorised laboratory obtained within 48 hours prior to arrival.
