VOLOTEA, THE WORLD’S FIRST AIRLINE TO HAVE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS HEALTH MEASURES APPROVED BY BUREAU VERITAS

The Spanish airline Volotea has signed an agreement with Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification, in order to verify the successful implementation of health and hygiene measures as it resumes operations. Volotea is the world’s first airline to have its preventive measures against Covid-19 audited by Bureau Veritas.

Volotea, the airline that serves Europe’s regional capitals, has signed an agreement with Bureau Veritas in order to verify the successful implementation of health and hygiene measures at its sites and on board its planes.

Bureau Veritas has carried out a series of audits based on strict criteria, with the goal of validating the measures taken by Volotea as it resumes flights. These audits enable Volotea to maximize high standards of safety, hygiene and cleaning for its customers and employees. The successful outcome of the audits has enabled Volotea to obtain Bureau Veritas attestation demonstrating that its protocols and preventative measures against Covid-19 are effective.

We want to go beyond government recommendations and offer the best flying conditions to customers and staff alike. To this end, we decided to have the implementation of our health measures approved and we are delighted to have signed this agreement with Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification. Our goal is to ensure we are offering the best customer experience and safe flights and we are convinced that external certification is the best way to do this,” announced Alex de Jesus Chief Experience Officer.

Jacques Pommeraud, Managing Director - Africa, France and Government services explains: “We are very proud to be able to support Volotea as it resumes operations. We are pleased to work with this major player in the air transport industry to enable it to reassure employees and customers. This, in combination with our hospitality audits, will allow consumers to benefit from a real ‘corridor of confidence’ during their travels.”

Bureau Veritas supports its clients in the implementation of health measures. This expert assessment forms part of the "Restart Your Business with BV” suite of solutions put together by Bureau Veritas for its clients. The goal of this plan is to contribute to the economic recovery of all businesses and institutions, whatever their sector of activity.
