VOLOTEA ANNOUNCES NEW VERONA-PARIS ROUTE FROM NEXT SPRING

Flights to the French capital will be available from 8 April 2022.
Up to 4 flights per week are anticipated during the peak season.

Verona, 18 November 2021 - Volotea, the low-cost airline that connects medium-sized cities with European capitals, has today announced that it is enhancing its offer from Verona. From 8 April 2022, it will commence its new flight to Paris, Charles De Gaulle airport. The new route, which will have up to 4 flights per week during peak season (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays), anticipates an offer of 40,000 seats during the summer months.

The new connection, which considerably reduces the travelling time between Verona and France, is set to strengthen the tourism flow both from and into the Veneto region. During summer 2021, the Spanish airline transported approximately 277,000 passengers to Verona (+25% against summer 2020), with a total offer of some 321,000 tickets.

“From next April, Verona and France will have enhanced proximity, thanks to the new route offered by Volotea. Passengers from the Veneto region will have a range of convenient options at competitive prices, enabling them to set off and discover the marvels and masterpieces of the City of Lights,” announced Valeria Rebasti, Country Manager Italy & Southeastern Europe for Volotea. “Furthermore, thanks to the new route, we will increase the traffic of foreign tourists who want to travel to Verona and visit the glorious Veneto region. We therefore also anticipate a boost to the local economy,” she added.

“Today’s announcement is an important milestone, the result of work developed by Volotea to respond to demand from the region, which has been requesting a connection with Paris for some time. The route is confirmed on the back of another much-anticipated route - to Barcelona - also recently communicated by the same company,” stated Camillo Bozzolo, Commercial Director Aviation for the SAVE group. “We are sure that the response from the region will be such that a further increase in the frequency of these routes is highly likely.”

All Volotea flights are available on its website, www.volotea.com, and at travel agencies.
