With its beauty and idyllic location in the heart of the Mediterranean, the archipelago of Malta has never ceased to attract people over the years. The rock is omnipresent. On the shores, it has shaped steep cliffs, paradisiacal coves and even some natural harbours like Valletta or Marsaxlokk. Thanks to this abundance of stone, the knights have erected incredible fortresses, palaces, cathedrals and inns with a very characteristic architecture. The history of the island is so ancient that we discovered megalithic structures before the Pyramids of Egypt, naturally classified by Unesco. A member of the European Union since 2004 and being part of the euro area, it has completely changed its economy and makes travel easier. It has become a very accessible destination, combining both remarkable heritage and natural splendours.
